Solely invested by a Taiwanese company, the Hainan ILB International Golf Club is now the largest one in Hainan province. It takes 40 minutes from the center of Haikou and 20 minutes from Meilan International Airport. The golf course covers an area of 134 hectares. The front nine are laid out on level ground encircling the lake while the back nine on hills with considerable undulations. The par 72 course has 18 holes and fairways covering a total distance of 7,130 yards. The 7th hole is the most challenging while the 5th and 11th holes are the longest.
The club has a provisional clubhouse, Chinese restaurant, bakery, golf shop, driving range and vending stands on the fairways.
